 Dr. Wu is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Administration and Allied Health Sciences at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions in New York City.   He also serves as the Director of St. John’s/Merck Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Fellowship program.   Dr. Wu received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University College of Pharmacy in Taiwan and his MBA and Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration from University of Minnesota. At St. John’s, Dr. Wu offers Health Care System Financing, Pharmacy Management, Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research courses to undergraduate and graduate Students.  These courses address the issues of third party reimbursement, formulary management, and cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical therapy.  Dr. Wu has mentored several graduate students in medication use research including the value of pharmacist services, pharmaceutical care outcomes, health related quality of life and formulation decision making, and medication use patterns.  He has published and co-authored several manuscripts that have appeared in the medical and pharmaceutical literature, and has made presentations at a number of domestic and international conferences.   Dr. Wu also has received research grants from Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Merck Co, Inc.
